Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017, one of the most awaited fashion events in India started today in Mumbai with a bang, with all renowned & gen-next designers coming together to showcase some of the latest innovative trends at the fashion week.
Day 1 brought the vougish delight with bardots, ruffles, statement sleeves and layers ruling the show. We have some quick picks of the trends we feel are here to hit & stay.
Fishnet stocking
The novelty collection by Ritu Kumar had pristine white fabrics with a mix of prints and embellished textiles ranges from fruits and blooms. But what we could not avoid were those white fishnet stockings elegantly paired along most outfits.
Fishnet stocking were in trend with few ranges in black worn under a ripped jeans or so. It was looked up as a badass trend and surely not for all, as it’s a dare to sport the right one, only then it can look quite cool. But we admit this Ritu Kumar showcase has given a fresh outlook to this trend and its here to stay for the foreseeable future.
Corset belts
As bold as they stand out, they need to be worn with a healthy dose of confidence. Corset belts have already spelled its magic this year and we are still crushing on its dapper, edgy and a totally wearable ways.
Vibrant Patch-work
Masaba as always portraying her vibrancy and quirkiness with her bridal collection, a bold & playful combination of organic fabrics, bright colours and the classical Indian weaves. Hinting a comeback of patch-work trend with a flowy skirt, a bow tie top and printed drape. We surely want to see more.
Comfort with Jootis
The relaxed ethnic chic collection. And how they paired a jooti with every outfit. Nakita Singh at Lakmé Fashion Week winter/festive 2017.
