LFW 2017- DAY 4: Snippets
The end of Day 4 and we are doing what we love ‘trend-spotting’. And as the Lakmé Fashion Week – Winter/Festive 2017 is coming to an end tomorrow, we wonder what the last day has in store…
Denim forever
New-age fashion aesthetics and refreshing take, Shreeya Somaiya’s collection contemporized bold styles using organza, chiffon and denim. The designer inspires un-orthodoxed ways of styling the age old denim, in wide range including satin slip dresses, asymmetric skirts, jackets and shift dresses in soft pink and scarlet with ruffle detailing.
Just add those fringes
After tops, skirts, bags and shoes, fringes have made it to the traditional Indian wear. From fringe blouses and capes to fringe-finished saris and dupattas. There is no dearth of fringe inspirations. This Indo-Western fusion is a must try for some dramatic play.
Cropped tops with elongated drape sleeves
Extravagance is holding up a cold shouldered heavily draped sleeve, which runs far beyond the fingertips. Don’t be afraid to wear your heart on your sleeve, especially as if it’s as edgy as this offering.
Nature’s delight
Handloom opulence along with intricate hand embroidery took strong influences from nature, emphasizing with chirping birds and flowers resulting in a majestic and colourful festive explosion. These eternal beauties will never fade away.
The digital vision
Designer Ajay Kumar displayed his trademark unconventional style, with bold/flashy prints and an amalgamation of classic tailoring and modern cuts.
The Manish Arora show created visual interplay of colours, styles, intricate silhouettes and designs. With geometric patchwork and embroidery on a variety of fabrics, as colours played a celestial symphony on the ramp.
So if strong, bold, flamboyant, intricate, vibrant, graphic, digital prints is what your style statement is, you are on a roll.
