Ingredients: Oats, Semolina, Salt, Pepper, Green Chilly, Mixed Herbs, Yogurt, Water, Oil, Urad dal, Curry leaves.
Quick Oatcake i.e. Oats Pancake traditionally named Oats Uttapam is an example of a quick healthy meal, that can be yummy too.
For batter quickly roast some oats and transfer it in a bowl, add equal amount of semolina (suji/rava), you may add few spoonful of flours like rice flour, gram flour (besan), ragi etc. but your main ingredients remain oats & semolina. Add some salt, pepper, finely chopped green chilly, mixed herbs, yogurt and sufficient water (not making the batter too runny). Temper it with little oil, urad dal & curry leaves. Let the batter rest for 10 to 15 minutes atleast.
Cook like a regular uttapam on a nonstick pan until it turns golden brown. Also chopped vegetables as per choice can be sprinkled as desired. Flip and cook. Your nutritious and healthy feast is ready.
Serve hot with chutneys & sauces.
